Day 1 : Arrival at Chennai
Upon arrival at Chennai Airport our local representative will assist and transfer you to hotel. Later, you will be taken for a sightseeing tour of Chennai covering Valluvar Kottam, National Art and Government Museum, St George Fort, Marina Beach, Parthasarathi temple, Birla Planetarium, Guindy National Park, Snake Park, Anna Zoological Park and Theosophical society. Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 2 : Chennai - Mahabalipuram (52km)
After breakfast you will be driven to Mahabalipuram and upon arrival at Mahabalipuram check in at a beach resort. Spend rest of the day relaxing at the beach and get Ayurvedic massage. Stay overnight at Mahabalipuram.
Day 3 : Mahabalipuram
After morning breakfast proceed for a local tour of Mahabalipuram. The main attractions at Mahabalipuram are the Shore temples, Arjuna's Penance, Krishna Mandapa, Mahishasurmardini Cave, Varaha Mandapa etc. Stay overnight at Mahabalipuram beach resort.
Day 4 : Mahabalipuram - Kanchipuram - Pondicherry (90km)
After morning breakfast we will drive to Kanchipuram. Kanchipuram is yet another holy town in South India. It is known as the city of thousand temples. Some of the important temples of Kanchipuram are the Vaikuntha Perumal Temple, Varadaraja Temple, Kailasnatha Temple and Kamakshi Amman Temple. Later, you will be driven to Pondicherry and upon arrival, check in at hotel. Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 5 : Pondicherry
Pondicherry is one of the most beautiful and magnificent places in India. For most parts of Colonial history of India, Pondicherry remained under the French suzerainty. After morning breakfast, you will be taken for a city tour of Pondicherry. The Aurobindo Ashram is one of the most important attractions in Pondicherry. Sri Aurobindo Ghose, the freedom fighter and philosopher poet founded it in 1926. Other places of interest at Pondicherry are Promenade, Auroville, the Botanical Garden, temples, Museum etc. Stay overnight at hotel in Pondicherry.
Day 06 : Pondicherry - Chennai (170km)
After breakfast, you will be driven back to Chennai to board the flight to onward destination.
Upon arrival at Chennai, our representative will assist and transfer you to hotel. After a brief rest, a city tour of Chennai follows covering Valluvar Kottam, National Art and Government Museum, St George Fort, Marina Beach, Parthasarathi temple, Birla Planetarium, Guindy National Park, Snake Park, Anna Zoological Park and the Theosophical society. Spend the night at the hotel.
Day 2 : Chennai (Madras) / Kanchipuram / Mahabalipuram
After breakfast, you will be driven to Kanchipuram and later Mahabalipuram. Kanchipuram is a holy town in South India. It is known as the city of thousand temples. The important temples in Kanchipuram are the Vaikuntha Perumal, Varadaraja, Kailasnatha and Kamakshi Amman Temple. The tour of Kanchipuram follows a drive to Mahabalipuram. Upon arrival at Mahabalipuram, check in at the hotel. Later, visit the Shore temples and Arjuna's Penance, the world's largest bas-relief. Spend the night at the hotel.
Day 3 : Mahabalipuram / Pondicherry
After breakfast, you will be driven to Pondicherry by road. Pondicherry has a long colonial history, which is very well reflected in its culture and architecture. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. It follows a sightseeing tour of Pondicherry covering the Aurovindo Ashram, the Auroville, temples, museum etc. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 4 : Pondicherry / Trichy
Breakfast follows a short sightseeing tour of Pondicherry and later you will be driven to Trichy, visiting Chidambaram, Kumbakonam and Gangikondacholapuram on the way. Upon arrival at Trichy, check in at the hotel. Spend the night at the hotel.
Day 5 : Trichy / Madurai
Trichy is an ancient city famous for its beautiful architectural monuments and culture. After breakfast you will be taken for a sightseeing tour of Trichy visiting Srirangam and Jambukeshwara temple. Later, you will be driven to Madurai. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Spend the night at the hotel.
Day 6 : Madurai / Rameshwaram / Madurai
Early in the morning, you will be driven to Rameshwaram for an excursion. Rameshwaram is an important pilgrimage for Hindus. According to legends, it is the place where Lord Rama worshipped Lord Shiva to absolve himself of the sin of killing Ravana. Ramanathaswamy Temple, Dhanushkodi, Agnitheertham Gandamadana Parvatham etc. are other places of interest at Rameshwaram. Later, you will be driven back to Madurai. Late in the evening, visit the Meenakshi temple to for the evening Aarti. Spend the night at the hotel.
Day 7: Madurai / Chennai (Madras)
After breakfast you will be driven back to Chennai and transferred to the airport to board the connecting flight for onward journey.
